Ninja Drools #2

My dad was lamenting he hasn't been able to find a good bibimbap for a while, so that of course made me want bibimbap really badly thus I went on a quest to make my own. I had fun making the bibimbap and fortunately got a thumbs up from my dad.

Ninija's Bibimbap (using My Korean Kitchen's recipe as a base)

White rice on the bottom of the bowl. Top the rice with the following:
Carrot sticks - I boiled them.
Spinach cut in half (length wise). I microwaved mine but you could put cook them in the boiling water as well.
Bean sprouts- boiled
Korean seasoned Seaweed cut in strips
Steak marinated for 10 minutes with soy sauce, a pinch of sugar and sesame oil. Seared and cut into strips.
Maitake Mushroom cooked in the same pan I seared the steak.
A sunny side up egg

Sauce: Gochujang, sesame oil, sugar, water, rice vinegar, garlic, soy sauce (this is not in the base recipe but I liked it better with soy sauce).

Ninja's Drama Food Drools
The Legendary Witch: Christmas cake made by the heroine

The Legendary Witch: The prison women learning to make bread

My Lovely Girl: Hot dog the second lead ate wanted to eat.

Aim High (T-Drama): Fruit cups the second lead is giving to his ex girlfriend.
I really like the idea of using plastic eggs as a base to hold the custard and fruit topping.

  1. I've been thinking of making bibimbap myself, and your recipe looks so easy [for some reason I thought bibimbap was more complicated xD] I think I'll try it out this weekend!^^
