Ninja Drool #27 Naengyeon Noodle

I came cross Naengyeon Noodle Soup package in my local Korean store and was curious enough to give it a try. My experience with cold noodles has been pretty limited so I was both a bit apprehensive and excited to try this.
The Korean grocery store had a couple different choices of Naengyeon noodles but I chose this one. I really couldn't tell the difference from one to the other so I just picked one randomly.
The package contains: 1. Buckwheat Noodles 2. Hot Pepper Paste 3. Mustard Powder
The buckwheat noodle looks kinda odd but...
Once you boil it in water for a 60 seconds then the odd looking dry noodle turns into this beautiful thing. I really like the texture of this noodle. For an instant meal the noodle is surprisingly chewy and just tasty.
There seems to be quite a few traditional toppings to a Naengyeon Noodle dish such as boil egg, cucumber, and pear. I didn't have pear on hand but I used beef slices, bean sprouts, green onion and carrots to go with a boiled egg.

The noodles was quite good. I will admit that I wasn't used to the slightly sweet cold broth at first but the taste really grew on me after a bit. The package came with ingredients enough for two servings and when I had it the second time I added about 1/2 cup of water to dilute the broth a bit which made the sweet muster broth perfect for my taste.
