Taste of Love Episode 3-7 Second Impression

Taste of Love Episode 3-7 Really Quick Summary
Knowing full well that every day he doesn't find his mother's secret sauce recipe is another day his family's world famous restaurant takes another step closer towards closing down, Chris is hopeless as he and Xiao He (heroine) keep hitting dead end everywhere they go.

Through their many misadventures together, our two leads' relationship has improved quite a bit even though they still fight constantly. In fact, it's obvious that while Chris jeers at Xiao He's innocence he has come to care about her and worries about her in spite of himself.

 Love or Spend (Taiwanese Daily)
I am way behind on this one. Kingone Wang's character is really sweet in Love or Spend so I keep trying to talk myself into following it but I keep getting distracted.

Ninja is thankful for:

11:22 PM Posted by ninja 10 comments
Dear Drama-God,

I am thankful:
For the drama Lovers (2006) with Lee Sung Jin that opened my eyes to the awesome K-drama land.

For my early obsession with Takuya Kimura that has allowed me to keep the faith even when the Japanese TV industry developed an aversion to anything romantic.

From Marry Me or Not?
For Taiwanese drama's awe inspiring skills in coming up with fan service scenes.
For my guilty pleasure in watching addicting makjang filled K-dramas.

For if you just live long enough you will see every Asian country make their own version of Itazura na kiss... sort of like you can figure out how old you are by how many remakes of Spiderman you've seen.

For the impending world peace if they could just figure out a way to get all the countries to produce lots of dramas/movies together.

Most of all, I am grateful to all of you who has been kind enough to let me share my drama addiction with you!!! ps. An extra big "Thank You!" to those who leaves me comments. I do read every comment and they always make my day even if time doesn't allow me to reply to most comments.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I Have A Lover Episode 23-24

I Have A Lover Episode 23-24
Tearing up as he watches Hae Gang calling out Eun Sol's (their daughter) name, Jin Eon froze with terror as Hae Gang's heart stops beating. Snapping out of his shock after the doctor declares Hae Gang's time of death, Jin Eon loses control and shouts for Hae Gang to come back.

Through sheer will (or b/c it is really bad to have your heroine die half way through the show), Jin Eon actually does the impossible and brings Hae Gang back to life.

Marry Me or Not Episode 4 Recap

Marry Me or Not Episode 4
This hour starts off with a lesson on the difference between men and women when it comes to seeking revenge. Men has always chosen more direct routs such as physical confrontation for their revenge while women ...lets just say while they seem more peaceful on the surface their battle are no less fierce.

Waking up to Zai Feng's sleeping face in the morning, a giddy Ya Nuo traces his nose and lips with her fingers as she wonders out loud how awesome they are. While Ya Nuo is still immersed in her bubbly mood, she suddenly freezes in utter embarrassment when Zai Feng's sleepily says "Go on. What else."

She Was Pretty (Korean Drama, Finished)
This one finished last week and while it wasn't addicting I found it an easy watch. The two leads were really cute together... but Choi Si Won's character was so awesome that he kinda overshadowed everyone else.

I Have a Lover Episode 22 Recap

I Have a Lover Episode 22
Frozen as she watches Hae Gang collapses to the ground after being stabbed, Seol Ri stumbles towards Hae Gang but then quickly runs back to her house leaving behind Seol Ri AND her body guard bleeding to death. That body guard sure didn't last too long against the killer.

Baek Seok comes home and notices the body guard's body first before he realizes Hae Gang is lying a short distance away. With shaking hands, Baek Seok gathers Hae Gang into his arms and sobs.

Marry Me or Not? Episode 3 Recap

Marry Me or Not? Episode 3
Episode 3 opens with a flash back of a memory of when our two leads first met during their school days. In a voice over, Justin (hero) concedes that he is not necessarily a non-believer when it comes to love, he is just always trying to recapture the heart fluttering of that first love. In the flashback, a young Justin meets Vivienne on their way to school, and Justin's voice continues "Even if that person, has never realized that I have been trailing behind her, looking at her."
I am assuming this is an actual flashback and not an imaginary of what could've been. Hmm... so interesting. There has been hints that Justin is aware of who Vivienne is because of his sister but I guess this means Vivienne was actually Justin's first crush?

My Homes Honey Jar (Korean Daily, Fairly New)
I gave this one six episodes but sadly it is simply not capturing my attention. Misled by the bright looking promotional materials I was taken back when the show quickly dives into the heroine's birth secret... which I really should've expected since this is a K-daily after all. I am not necessary put off by the makjang plot line but in the end what made me lose interest in My Homes Honey Jar was that the four leads are just not interesting enough to keep me watching.

I Have A Lover Episode 21 Recap

I Have A Lover Episode 21
Walking into Jin Eon's office, Hae Gang is surprised when a very emotional Jin Eon tells her that his wife's urn is empty. Holding up his wife's picture to Hae Gang, Jin Eon pleads with her to take a look at the picture but Hae Gang replies that she is not ready to look yet.

Looking at a hopeful yet dejected Jin Eon, Hae Gang promises to try to regain her memory in order to help him figure out what happened to his wife... and also a way for her to get over him completely.

Marry Me or Not? Episode 2 Recap

Marry Me or Not? Episode 2
Episode two begin with a short flash back to where our two leads actually met for the very first time...without knowing it.

Sitting in a restaurant to consult with a client, Justine (hero) gives Mr. Lee (guest appearance by Bo Lin Chen!) a long speech about why a woman's love is fickle and hands him a divorce form to give to his wife.

Seemingly confirming Justine's view, Vivienne (heroine) is standing in front of the bathroom mirror in the very same restaurant to rehearse a break up speech with her boyfriend.

Friday Drama Round #54

 Good Time (Chinese Drama, Finished)
I actually finished this one from beginning to the end. Just a warning, this is one of those shows where you keep waiting for the hero to finish dating all the crazies before he finally realizes the heroine is the one. All in all, pretty draggy, cheesy ending... but still a good one to watch while you are doing dishes.
 Bromance (Taiwanese Drama)
Hands down the most blush inducing show out right now. Here is the proof.

Marry Me or Not? (Taiwanese Drama, New)
Couldn't quite tell by episode one if this one is a winner yet, but there are sure a lot of pretties around!
First Impression: HERE
I Have A Lover (Korean Drama)
So addicting... so... many... more... episodes... to go... SIGH! MUST not melt every time I look at those eyes!
Save the Family (Korean Family Daily, Finished)
Believe it or not, I actually finished this one...and I am not sure why. The two leads took FOREVER to finally get together but the happy couple only lasted about two episodes before they are torn apart then I spent the rest of the show putting up with the annoying female second lead. Sigh! At least the ending was satisfying enough.

My Home Honey Jar (Korean Family Daily, New)
This is the new daily that is filling the time slot that just got vacated by Save the Family. I checked out the first two episodes but the show is still busy introducing the various characters so I'll talk more about this one next week.
 Kari Kare (Japanese Drama, New)
A new drama about office romances and since this is a J-drama, there is plenty of wackiness that comes with it. This one is only 8 episodes long so I am assuming the plot will move very quickly.
5 ji Kara 9 ji Made (Japanese Drama)
This one has such an interesting hero who is a cross between a scary stalker and a boyfriend every girl dream of. That is if your dream boyfriend is a monk who looks like Yamapi.
Secret Message (Korean Drama, New)
T.O.P and Juri Ueno's new drama about two people who are both struggling with the loss of their first love. I checked the first two episodes (each episode is about 25 min. long) out and right now I am still pretty confused about what's going on but I think episode three is where the two leads' will start to interact with one another.
Love or Spend (Taiwanese Daily Drama, New)
Kingone Wang's new drama about two best friends who are forced to quickly find boyfriend/girlfriend when they mothers insists that they should marry each other. Is it me or is there a lot of best friend turn lovers shows lately. It is easy to wonder if it's a fad after In Time With You, but then to be fair, In Time wasn't exactly the one that came up with the best friend/lover concept either. I personally like the best friend/lover plot line, but what I really dislike is when I have to watch the hero/heroine date bunch of jerks for the whole show before the two leads finally get together at the last episode. (Don't ask me why I just finished Good Times which fits that almost to a T.)

Oldies but Goodies!
Drama: Love Shuffle
Year: 2009
Episodes: 10
Synopsis: To answer the question if there really is such thing as soul mates, eight people decides to play a game of "love shuffle" as they swap partners every week. Sounds kinda suggestive... but we are talking about a J-drama here so I can't even promise a kissing scene.
It has been a few years since I watched this one, but if memory serves me right Love Shuffle had a pretty wacky vibe but also deals with the rather intriguing question of what makes two people compatible with each other.

Love Me If You Dare Episode 5-6 Favorite Scenes & Quotes

Love Me If You Dare Episode 5
Favorite Scene #1
Remembering the little girl's question to Jenny that maybe he is afraid of the fireworks like her, Simon gives a long speech that he used to work with bombs that explodes much more spectacularly than those measly fireworks. Giving the little girl's mother an apologetic looks, Jenny drags Simon away from giving more gritty details.

Bromance Episode 3 Recap

Bromance Episode 3
Taking the pink hair clip from Zai Feng's hand, Ya Nuo confirms for herself that she is indeed the girl that save him so many years ago. Touched that Zai Feng has be searching for her all these years, Ya Nuo tries to convince Zai Feng that his mystery girl is probably simply satisfied that he is alive and well. Rather determined to thank his savior personally no matter how long it takes, Zai Feng tells Ya Nuo he will not stop searching.

Thoughtful as she puts the pink hair clip in her hair (I am assuming this one is her own and not the one Zai Feng has), Ya Nuo starts to write a note to Zai Feng as the little girl who saved him.
